You gotta laugh at some of the funny but true customer service stories that get batted about the Kars4Kids office. Mostly because no one expects customer service to be that much fun. But also because the funny stories are just that: FUNNY—and often hilarious.

You gotta laugh at some of the funny but true customer service stories that get batted about the Kars4Kids office. Mostly because no one expects customer service to be that much fun. But also because the funny stories are just that: FUNNY—and often hilarious. We’ve got three such stories today—all true—from Sara Wagshal, one of our dedicated customer service representatives:

Pick-n-Pull

“I’m on the phone with a donor when she tells me that her car is located in the grass in the midst of high weeds and asks if the tower will pull out the weeds!”

Said Sara to her fellow customer service reps, “I suggest we assign the job to Pick-n-Pull!”

It wasn’t the first time Wagshal had a Pick-n-Pull moment: “Someone once called to donate a van which was located in a remote Northern California mountainous area. Then he went on to explain that drug poachers had taken over the van and were living in it.

“I asked my colleague, David S. if we could assign Pick-n-Pull. As in ‘We pick’em off and pull’em out!!’”

Person or Robot?

Then there was the time a donor tried to determine whether or not Sara is human. “Some donor asked me if I were a person or a robot. I told him I was a robot but the technology is amazing isn’t it?

“He howled!”

And so did we.

It just goes to show that customer service doesn’t have to be boring—it all boils down to attitude—how you feel about the job. Our customer service people actually like what they do, so it’s easy for them to see the humor of their daily interactions with the public. Stories such as these, true stories from our everyday experiences on the job, brighten our day. We hope they brighten yours, as well!
