Take 10 Minutes, Take the Course: “Children in Hot Cars”

Take 10 minutes to learn about hot car deaths with a new course from the National Safety Council (NSC).

Kars4Kids has been in the forefront of raising awareness of hot car deaths, and even developed a free app, Kars4Kids Safety, to help protect children from this all-too-preventable tragedy. Now, meteorologist Jan Null of NoHeatstroke.org tells us that The National Safety Council (NSC) has developed and released a timely online training module: “Children in Hot Cars.” The mini-course takes some 10 minutes from start to finish and is full of important information to help educate parents about hot car deaths so they can keep children safe from harm.

The module is available on the NSC heatstroke page, and Null also links to it HERE. We’d like to encourage you to take 10 minutes to complete the module and then share it on social media with everyone you know—even if you think it could never happen to you and your child. Raising awareness of this deadly phenomenon is crucial, and sharing the module may just save a life (or two or three).
