Kars4Kids Presents Safety Tips for Motorists

Today is the first day of summer!

Summer is a time when many motorists hit the road. As we approach the summer driving season, Kars4Kids presents a list of safety checks and tips to keep you safe and your vehicle running efficiently.

  1. Check your tire pressure: Tire pressure increases as the air temperature outside rises. Overinflated tires can cause a blowout so make sure the pressure in your tires stays at the recommended level.
  2. Check fluids: Keep an eye on the engine coolant, transmission and brake fluid levels. Having these fluids at the correct level is critical for keeping your car’s parts lubricated and preventing your engine from overheating.
  3. Check your battery: High temperatures can cause the acids and fluids in your battery to expand, which may result in leaks.
  4. Pack a safety kit: Always carry a safety kit with you in the car. Include drinking water, sun block, insect repellent and a first-aid kit.

Follow these tips, be safe and go hit the road!
