This beautiful 1976 Mercury Cougar just showed up in our lot.
According to Wikipedia the 76 model is the first generation of the Cougar produced by Mercury, a division of Ford.
This car is extremely recognizable for it’s trademark grille, in fact it was sometimes called the electric shaver grille.
Assembled in Dearborn, Michigan, a deliberate effort was made to give the car a more “European” flavor than the Mustang, at least to American buyers’ eyes.
