On March 15, Elijah Malone stole the show—or rather, won our mini car giveaway—with his unforgettable entry in the “Cars for Kids Giveaway.” His rap rendition of the Kars4Kids jingle brought with it an infectious energy that had us all tapping our feet and nodding our heads. It was clear that this talented young performer was destined to be our 104th mini car winner!

We may be a car donation program, but at our core, Kars4Kids is all about enriching the lives of kids through our youth development programs. For 30 years, we’ve been dedicated to delivering the best possible service to our generous donors—because at the end of the day, it’s all about the kids!
As part of our year-long celebration of Kars4Kids’ 30th anniversary, we’re thrilled to be giving away 365 mini cars to deserving young people across America. The entry process? Simple! All they need to do is sing our jingle and have a family member upload the performance to our giveaway website.
When we announced Elijah as our winner and sent a congratulatory note through his grandparents, we thought that was the end of the story—just hand over the mini car and let the joy unfold. But then came a delightful twist! We received a heartwarming message from Elijah’s grandfather, Benjamin G. Bell. He revealed something that made Elijah’s win even more special: he and his wife had donated their beloved Volvo 940 sedan, affectionately known as “Big Blue,” to Kars4Kids back on September 21, 2021.
Naturally, we just had to know more. We could almost feel the love and memories that had been wrapped up in that vehicle, coming through that email! So, we reached out to Benjamin, who eagerly shared the heartfelt story of how the Bells came to own and eventually donate this treasured vehicle. “It was a dream to own a Volvo. We actually went to Sweden and picked it up from the factory. When we donated it to Kars4Kids, we felt it was a great memory of doing good, adding to the many wonderful moments we had with Big Blue.”
